Discovery Channel - Mighty Ships: Africa Mercy (2011)

Africa Mercy is the newest ship to enter service with Mercy Ships, who have been operating hospital ships serving developing nations since 1978. The M/V Africa Mercy entered active service in Liberia in June 2007. It is currently the largest civil floating hospital and even thoughMercy Ships has now retired all their earlier ships this new vessel has a greater capacity than the 3 previous ships combined.
Africa Mercy is the world's largest NGO hospital ship. She travels port to port in the world's poorest regions providing medical care to people who may have never met a doctor or visited a hospital. 150m long and equipped with six state-of-the-art operating theatres, Africa Mercy can deliver medical care as good as any big city hospital in North America.
