Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig scrap their own movie

LESS than 24 hours after it was leaked that Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig had completed a top secret new movie, the stars have decided to put the breaks on the project.
Details were leaked to media that the pair had completed a TV movie called A Deadly Adoption for US network Lifetime.

The funny duo apparently star in the dramatic thriller as a successful couple who house and care for a pregnant woman with the hopes of adopting her unborn child.

While it sounds serious, it was also described by The Hollywood Reporter as “campy and fun” — and is meant to be a nod to the melodramatic style of TV movies.
But it seems Will spat the dummy as soon as the press found out about the secret flick.
Deadline reports that he’s released a statement, saying: “We are deeply disappointed that our planned top secret project was made public.”
“Kristen and I have decided it is in the best interest for everyone to forego the project entirely, and we thank Lifetime and all the people who were ready to help us make this film.”
But with production on the film already complete, it might just be a ruse to keep us on our toes.
